| FlyFishing is more than the catch of the quarry.
It’s the cool, soothing sounds of the river that naturally relax the
mind, combined with the mysterious creatures of the river upon which
one dares to cast a fly. Enjoying the companionship of new people in
the outdoors with a traditional way of fishing. Then the break of the
placid reflection of the suns rays bouncing off the silky surface of
the water from the jump of a hooked fish. The yell of “Fish On” breaks
the solitude of the moment. Now, nothing else seems to matter because
the excitement has thrashed through nature’s peaceful surroundings. As
the day ended, we were enjoying many laughs and agreed the fifteen-inch
Rainbow, which you released, was nineteen inches! Oh my, how fast a fish
can grow. Another Great Day of Fishing, we boasted, with smiles from
ear to ear. But the fourteen-inch Brookie that you brought home for dinner
was still fourteen inches. Walt Geryk, Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide |
