Salt Water Rods at Deerfield River Spey Day:
I have received numerous requests and questions from Cape Cod, Rhode Island and Connecticut Salt Water Fly Fishers about spey and 2 handed rods for stripers, blues and more along the Atlantic Coast. With the support of Lee Davidson, we have added a series of
CND Salt Water Rods and Lines for demo.
This is a can't miss Spey Event for everyone interested in Spey Fishing and two handed casting and how it can apply to one hand fly fishing as well.
Keep Saturday, June 6th, available for a great spey experience on the Deerfield River with free food and many raffle and great auction items benefiting Casting For Recovery.

In just over 3 months, we
will gather on the shores of the Salmon River in Pineville, NY to celebrate
the culture of 2 handed rods and the fish that we chase. As the weather
breaks toward Spring and our snow melts, everyone seems to be talking about
Spey Nation and there is a lot to tell you about.
Once again, we have a strong list of presenters including, Lee Davison
(CND), Bruce Berry (Beulah), Will Turek (Mid-West Spey School), Whitney
Gould (Burkheimer), Andrew Moy (Tight Lines Fly shop/East Coast Spey), Walt
Geryk (Northeast Guide Service), and Peter Charles (Guidelines).
This will be your opportunity to get out on the water with the rods of your
choice and talk to representatives from 15 companies specializing in 2
handed fishing. Buelah, Echo, Thomas & Thomas, Scott, Guidelines, CND,
Burkheimer, Airflo, Rio, Wild Water Fly Rods, Meiser Rods Fly Rods, Hardy, G
Loomis, Temple Fork Outfitters, St. Croix, and Sage will all be in
attendance and have promised to bring their entire lines of demo rods.
Anybody who attended last year's event had unprecedented access to a great
variety of fishing tools.
Remember, Spey Nation II is free to everyone, put on by volunteers and
completely funded by sponsor contributions and donations to our raffles.
Any "Profit's made at the event are donated to on-going conservation
efforts. Specifically, this year we are partnering with the Fish Creek
Atlantic Salmon Club who is trying to establish a viable, natural
reproducing run of Landlocked Salmon in Fish Creek, which runs into Oneida
Lake north of Syracuse, NY.
Saturday, June 6th, located on the banks of the Deerfield River will be Western Massachusetts first Spey Day. A day of Spey Clinics on both single and two handed casting with talks on it's advantages and how to incorporate spey casting into your single hand traditional style of fly fishing.
